Welcome family and close friends. Feel free to post your thoughts and opinions about anything you want here. From Britney Spears and American Idol news to JEOPtrivia, The Warriors and THE WEDDING, this is the place to express your praise, contempt or exitement.
I’ve been kinda busy lately and haven’t been able to catch up on any family news (translation: Ethel has been really busy at work this week and we have hardly spoken to each other). So I’ll just mention what happened at work last night to start things off here. Comment if you like, I’m just putting it here for your amusement.
My partner went to a call where a man felt suicidal. When he got to the apartment, a man who was all wet opened the door. Apparenty (or AllegedlySpeaking
) this guy tried to commit suicide by filling his bathtub full of water, then he took a fan, connected it to an extension cord, plugged it in and dropped it into the tub while he was still in it.
Now I know what you’re thinking…”Why is this idiot still alive?” Well it’s simple you see, the extension cord was equipped with a built-in surge suppresser. So when he dropped it in the water, it safely cut the power. Brilliant. Then this guy reaches for his air purifier, but as he pulls it closer to the tub, the cord is too short and he ends up pulling it out of the socket. Brain surgeon this guy, huh.
Well after cheating death twice, he decided to call 9-1-1 to get some mental help.
If you want to know what I was doing when this was happening. I was at another apartment, by myself, trying to lift an elderly lady out of a toilet, because she forgot to put the seat down before she sat down. Not a very pretty site…can you say Post Traumatic Stress. She had been there all day until I got there. Dear God is it really too much to ask that the only naked hella old lady I see be my wife 50 years from now! Both this old lady and the wet guy went to the hospital.

Here is the family blog. You can post your rants and raves and replies to a particular posting. In order to post, you’ll need to log-in and make your post. (see Jay or Gabe for the admin log-in). Anyone can comment on someone’s post. You don’t have to have the log-in to leave a comment about what someone said.
Stay tuned for Jay’s watercooler sessions.
