There’s only 2 more Spring “Friday Alive’s” left and then they’re history. We may do this again one more time…so keep checking back for updates and announcements. All friends and family who visit here are always invited. Maybe before the next trip to the track Ethel can present us with a PowerPoint presentation on how to pick the winners.
FAMILY NOTES:
-At the Holy Spirit Family Fun Walk and Run today, Jon placed 2nd in his age group. To his credit, his age group was 15-19, and the kid who won was 19 in full running gear and “JB” was wearing his oversized shorts and basketball shoes.
-My bib number at the event was 261, which happens to be the California Penal Code for rape. I thought that was interesting.
-Nic’s basketball team made it to the second round, then lost a close game before being eliminated in the L.A. tourney. Next year Nic.
-Jon and I saw the movie “Shooter” starring Mark Wahlberg today. Good flick…we give it 2 High Fives for great action sequences.
-Paul couldn’t make Friday Alive because he got sick after spending the day in So.Cal. on PS3 business. Hope you feel better. I’ll need a doctor’s note if you miss the next event though.
-Ta’s hair looks awesome.
-Ryan had his baseball game this morning. Unfortunately, only Elaine was able to be there. On the ride home, he mentioned that it makes him happy when more people go to his games. Next 2 games: Thurs 4/5 5:30 & Sat 4/14 12:00 Noon Ryan’s Schedule
-Elaine ended up feeling a bit under the weather.
-Gabe won his football game.
-Gabe and Elaine’s wedding website is still under construction.
-Taboo:FULL THROTTLE Episode 2 coming soon.

Hi All,
This video below was of a game was against the undefeated Holy Spirit White team - the CYO SoCal league champions for the past 4 years. The game was marked with high anticipation as when we played then last year, we only lost by 2 points…….so, a coach from St. Anne’s was sent to scout this game and videotape it. He ended up making this video clip to highlight a player who can play offense and defense hence Nicole. He used it as a training video for his team……..as for the cheating part, it was not directed as she cheated, it was more of pointing out the fact that she uses her instinct to get that defensive edge. This video clip caused a huge issue last week as it was posted on youtube without my knowledge and it is against CYO rules. It went all the way up to the Oakland Diocese Chair and it ended up that St. Anne’s had to take it off since it did not promote appropriate Catholic behavior. I didn’t have a problem with it, I enjoyed the video, didn’t care for some of the words he used but I know it was made in good fun. We ended up losing that game, but Nicole managed to pour in a game-high 17 points, I think the score ended up being 24-31, or something like that. We beat St.Anne’s last weekend (they were the ones who made the video, so I guess the video didn’t help).
We’re off to L.A. this weekend for the National Junior Basketball League Tournament, and hope to come in either in 1st or 2nd place for our division since we came in 3rd place last year. The competition is tough, but they’ve been practicing and scrimmaging for the past 2 weeks………..so we’ll see…………..
Gabe calls Nicole the CYO D.Wade, and is looking for green and gold body paint, so that he can make himself a paint jersey with the number 15 on it. If anyone wants to come watch Nicole in action & breakin’ ankles, let me know.
With no further ado…

As some of you may have noticed, Allegedlyspeaking.com was offline over the weekend. Our servers went down late Friday evening and Gabe spent the entire weekend at our servers location in Silicon Valley repairing them. You see, here at AllegedlySpeaking.com we are committed to giving you the total internet forum experience. And strive to keep the unexpected interruptions to a minimum.
In other news, Nicole’s traveling basketball team leaves for Southern California late Thursday night. Good luck Nic. If anyone is going to be there for that can you please report back here. Pictures would be nice too, thanks.
Congratualtions to Ryan, who played his first t-ball game/first organized sport.
“If you ever want to come out to another game of his, he plays twice a week for the next 4 months, so just ask Elaine or myself when his games are. (Argh!) They are scheduled to play each Saturday and once during the weekdays prior to that Saturday. His games will be at the same location (Newark Jr. High), with the exception of the 3 of games that will be played at Newark Memorial High School.”-Gabe
Included with today’s post is The Greatest Kickball Team of All Time…Seriously Bro’s Promotional video to be played on the jumbotron screen at next year’s tournament. Also, check back soon for the next episode of Taboo:FULL THROTTLE. It’s already done and next up for release.

Each week, Gabe meets w/ his cohorts from RMX Sports & Champcast at their official headquarters at 1029 Garnet. During one of their brainstorming sessions, they pushed eachother into a state of complete delirium. Alex left the room, and there was a knock on the door. Gabe opened the door to find none other than Boracay journalist Gibraltar Cruz. Check out one of the improvisations. It starts slow, then gets better towards the middle.
Did I mention that Gibraltar is going to be the master of ceremonies at our reception?
