North Shore Fun

After the wedding we moved to the North Shore for some deep rest and relaxation. The best beaches on the island are located on this side as well as some world famous eating establishments. I can’t really call them restaurants because one place is located inside a mom and pop style grocery store and the other is a broken down truck on the side of the road.

The best shaved ice is known to come from here. I had some. It was good but I have nothing to compare it to, other than a Slurpee from 7-11.

For awesome Shrimp Scampi, full of taste and lots of garlic, this is the place to be. Made famous thanks to the Food Channel. We hit this spot with a bunch of family before closing and they only had enough shrimp for 2 plates. It’s $12 a plate and you get 12 shrimps. The next day we came back a few hours before closing and this time they only had one type of shrimp flavor available out of the 3 choices. Moral of this story….go as early as you can.

Evelyn and Louie went to the Polynesian Cultural Center. Last time I was there I was Evan’s age, I’ll return someday.
