Well we finally shed ourselves from our previous site name “Blog World Expo” and now we’re using Justin.tv/ChampCast to carry our live streaming video. Last night Gabe gave me the camera and I’ll be trying to figure out how to switch back and forth from EVDO to WiFi during broadcasts.
I don’t have too much scheduled for this week other than work, picking up the kids and a couple of Warrior games. Friday should be a fun day to watch though…I’ll be visiting Evan and his Filipino Class and feeding them a late afternoon meal and later that night Ryan will be hosting “Movie Night” for his friends. Then on Saturday some members of AS.com will be participating in a Scavenger Hunt all over the streets of San Francisco starting at Noon.
Today and tommorrow should go like this:
9am - Wait for housekeeper to arrive. In the meantime, update website and Christmas Shopping! (Happy Cyber Monday!)
11am - Electrician arrives to pre-wire my house for HD.
2:30pm - Pick up Jon and Jordan at school and let Jon practice driving as we pick up Evan at his school.
4pm - Get groceries or figure out what everybody is gonna eat for dinner.
5pm - Take a nap before getting ready for work.
7:30pm - Somebody here is going to the Warriors game, I just know it’s not me.
8pm - Leave for work. (I may keep the camera on, with sound ’til midnight)
7:30am - Go home and sleep.

As mentioned earlier this week, we are looking for responsible friends and family members to be Lifecasters to fill our upcoming programming schedule. All you really need is the desire and we can train you to do the rest.
SHOW RULES
The show will be called, “A Day in the Life of…” and you will need to be “live” from at the very least 8am to 10pm. After those times you can turn the camera off or you could broadcast yourself asleep or point the camera at something else while you’re asleep or in the bathroom, that’s fine too. You will have the camera for a 24 hour period, with a 48 hour maximum time limit on your “episode”. We understand that the camera can’t go everywhere, please plan your events accordingly. And if you do find yourself in a camera prohibited situation, we ask that you leave it in a secure location (home) and place a sign in front of the camera that tells what you’re doing, or turn the camera off and carry the backpack with you. Never leave the camera in your car.
SHOW CONTENT
Well obviously, as you can tell by the title, “A Day in the Life of…” this show will be about YOU. We want you to go about your daily routine. Don’t worry if your show seems “boring”, that’s how life usually is, boring. But, every so often in life there are things that happen around you that words cannot express the magnitude of the moment to your friends, hence the saying “I guess you had to be there”. If you’re not sure what I’m talking about, check out this true lifecasting moment I pulled from our archives. Elaine was wearing the camera and she was dealing with a domestic crisis at home…
(The link was mysteriously removed…lol)
We are going for a PG-13 rating, so try to keep the bad language to a minimum and no nudity of course. For those like myself with careers that are not “live” camera friendly, consider taking the camera on a weekend.
To get started send me an email at jay@allegedlyspeaking.com with your name and any events you have coming up between now and the end of December that you think might be interesting to broadcast live. If you have no special events coming up and just wanna Lifecast, that’s fine too.

In the NEWS…

SOCCER
Evan’s soccer team, The Time Pirates, won the city’s soccer championship game. They only lost one game all season.

J.T. IV No More
Rumor has it that JeopTrivia will be canceled this Christmas season. This year would have marked the 4th installment of this Christmas classic. The questions are done, the movie trailer almost complete, the new system is in place (the JeopTrivia 3 system crashed last January), but The Game Mistress hasn’t signed on as yet and is still holding out. JeopTrivia’s top management is currently negotiating with her agent, Steve Boros, but from what I heard there is one major roadblock at the moment. Accodring to sources close to both parties, The Game Mistress is not only looking for a long term, multi-million dollar contract, but she is looking to take a percentage of the overall revenue generated by the phenomenon that is known as JeopTrivia. And it’s that “back end” deal which is bogging down the negotiations. More on this as it comes in…

Congratulations to AS.com member Evan, who got the lead in his school’s Christmas Pageant and will be playing the part of Joseph. If you can’t make it to the play, be sure to check back here on Tuesday, December 11th, where we will televise it live via AllegedlySpeaking TV. We will also have our HD camera at the show for those who wish to view the pageant and all it’s glory in High Definition at a later date.
BLOG WORLD EXPO 2007

The blogging conference trip was a success. Since we went as media for Justin.tv, we did our best to interview other attendees and speakers, most notably Mark Cuban. He talked about his first venture, powdered milk. He said it had it all, it lasted longer, you just had to add water and it tasted just like real milk! The problem, nobody else thought so. He said he learned early on, that you might have the best idea ever but if nobody else thinks so it doesn’t matter.
ALLEGEDLY SPEAKING TV CASTING CALL
Gabe and I had lunch which Justin last Monday, off camera. He said he is taking a little break from lifecasting and says his team has been working hard at improving justin.tv to make it more user friendly. He also said we could use his camera equipment indefinetly. Thanks Jus.
We are now in the process of looking for family and friends who would be interested in broadcasting a show we are calling “A Day in the Life of…” Bascially we would want you to carry the webcam for a 24 hour period so everyone else can see what you do on a typical day. If you’re not sure what to do, take a look at our channel now to get an idea. I’ll have more info about show rules later, but bascially we request you keep the camera “rolling” at minimum from 8am or when you wake up to 10pm or just before you go to bed. If you’re interested email jay@allegedlyspeaking.com .
(If we’re not on now, check back later and often)
