What would you name this?

In case you were wondering what this is…it’s a pour spout remover for glass bottles. But the greatest thing about this gadget, was that it was invented by none other than Glenn Cera…yeah, Gabe’s dad. It’s already registered with the Office of Patents and the patent is pending.
Having grown up around my father’s bar, I’ve known for years that removing the pour spouts from bottles (see above photo) has been almost impossible without breaking the spout. And, usually when it’s really busy…it’s just easier to dump the bottle, spout and all and use a brand new one for the next bottle. Pour spouts, like the one pictured above cost about a dollar each.
And precision liquor pourers like these are $5 dollars each.
Gabe is currently working on the website for this item (amongst the forty other sites he is currently developing) and the final price has not been set as yet. Take a peek at what he’s done so far and take a look at other angles of the remover here.

The YEAR in Pictures

A lot of incredible things happened in and to our family in 2007. But, what I will remember the most from this past year, a side from the usual Birthday and Holiday dinner get togethers, was how we did more things together . From Operation Restore Order, to Paolo’s Birthday Party, to Kickball, to Bay Meadows, Hawaii, Vegas, etc. Everyone should be commended for making “family first” this past year. A trend that I hope we can continue in 2008. Already, lot’s of great things are in the works for this year from Paolo and Carol’s Wedding to the Film Festival. But enough about 2008, the theme of this post is reflection and what a great year 2007 was for us. So without further delay…I bring you, The Year in Pictures…
