Aloha Airlines’ ad agency donated the creative effort and production time to create this farewell tribute commercial spot that was aired on local Hawaiian television last month. Aloha Airlines was in operation from July 26, 1946 to March 31, 2008. They were already struggling to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy (reorganization) and then their primary lender refused to give them any more money forcing the airline to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy (liquidation). A very sad ending to an airline with such a colorful and proud history.
Thanks for taking us to the islands the past 4 years in a row and for all the memories that came with those trips.

This year’s event fielded 24 different teams. Although we had more than 7 drop outs, absentees, and flakes when this year’s attendance call (email blast) went out, we ended up having to create and register 2 teams leveraging a 28 player pool. I decided to divide the group into a “ringers” batch and a “fun” batch… and that’s pretty much how it turned out in the end.
The ringers “The Greatest Kickball Team of All-time Seriously Bro . Com” ended up going 2-0 in the regular season, and were seeded in the top 5 of the 24 teams in the playoffs.
Our junior varsity team a.k.a. The KILF’s for Kickballer’s I’d Like To F (named by the legend that is Tin Le) narrowly missed the playoffs by finishing the regular season with a record of 0-2. Atleast they looked great!
