George Carlin Week - Day 1

I am dedicating this entire week to a comic genius, who just passed away last week, George Carlin. Many years ago, Ethel and I had the opportunity to watch him live at a packed Davies Symphony Hall, and he was awesome. If you’re not familiar with his type of comedy, he liked to play with words and their multiple meanings and he also liked to give his opinion about “Life in the U.S.”. When most comedians wrote only one good set their whole career, George introduced a new hour of quality comedy about every two to three years. To celebrate his humor, all this week ’til Friday, I’ll post his most infamous bits. If you have a couple of minutes…check’em out. I’ll try to keep them under 5 minutes, but I know 2 of his most famous routines are about 9 minutes long. And, one of those routines was (and still is) so controversial that in 1972, he was arrested in Wisconsin following his performance. The charges were later dropped. So let’s get started with Day #1 and George Carlin’s “Stuff”.
